Dear Church family member
I am writing to let you know that we are forming a new electoral roll of members at St Mary’s in the coming weeks. This is a process which takes place every six years as part of the Church of England’s representation rules.
Of course, I am very keen that you join, or rejoin, our electoral roll as this enables you to be an active member of the Church. This means you can attend and vote at our Annual Meeting (APCM), and be kept informed about, and involved in, the exciting priorities planned in the years ahead. These priorities include:
- A refreshed vision and development plan for our Church;
- Commitment to personal and group discipleship, active ministry and mission within our community;
- Releasing leaders to work in empowered teams to grow and maintain our Church;
- All of the above, empowered by the Holy Spirit through prayer.
Further updates on these activities will be shared at our APCM on 24 March 2019, which I strongly encourage you to attend.
Electoral roll application form is attached and are available in Church. Also from our Parish Administrator, Karen Jordan (firstname.lastname@example.org) from now until 15 February 2019, which is the deadline for return of the application form. Eligibility conditions for inclusion in the electoral roll are provided in the application form.
Please also note that by returning a completed application form, you are giving consent for your name to be posted as a member of St Mary’s in the Church porch for a period of two weeks following the completion of the new electoral roll. In addition, the details you provide on the form will be held by our Parish Office and used to manage our communications with you. You may request for your name to be removed from the electoral roll and have your details deleted from our records at any time. Please see the Data Privacy Notice on our website for more information .
I shall be communicating about the electoral roll in our Church services during the next two weeks. If you have any questions in the meantime, please do contact me, or our Electoral Roll Officer, Hazel Reid (email@example.com).
Revd Andrew L Smith
