The Greenhouse Project

St Mary’s is involved in an exciting project in partnership with 1st Fetcham Scout Group to replace the existing Scout Hut at the Cock Lane Rec with a new community building called ‘The Greenhouse’. This will accommodate a range of community services, some of which will be led by St Mary’s.  The project secured planning permission in December 2020 and, subject to funds being available, we hope for the project to complete in 2022.

The Greenhouse Team warmly welcomes Fetcham residents to the Cock Lane Recreation Ground for an open consultation session on Saturday 22 May 2021 between 10:00am-12:00pm. This will be an opportunity for Fetcham residents to discuss any queries or concerns about The Greenhouse Project. Our friendly team will be standing near the games courts wearing branded t-shirts, so please feel free to come along and chat us.

There will also be an opportunity to discuss The Greenhouse project with us on Saturday 10 July 2021 during the Fetcham Fete. Details of this will be confirmed nearer the time. The Greenhouse Team can also be contacted via email at info@greenhousefetcham.org and we will happily make arrangements to discuss the project in more detail with you.

We are also inviting the community to support our application to Your Fund Surrey by giving a ‘thumbs up’.  Simply to go www.greenhousefetcham.org/thumbs-up-for-the-greenhouse/, read the instruction and then press the ‘Give Thumbs Up’ button.  Please do spread the word about this project by sharing and encouraging friends and family members to support us giving their ‘thumbs up’ too.

The Greenhouse Community Centre Update 4 Dec 2020:  We had an exciting development this week as the project received unanimous approval at Mole Valley’s Development Committee meeting.  This means that, subject to some conditions being fulfilled, we can move forward to the next stage of detailed design and tendering.  Huge thanks to everyone from St Mary’s who is praying for, and helping with, this project.  We’ll keep in touch with progress updates and with more information how people can get further involved in due course.
