Maundy Thursday: Thurs 14 April, 8pm – This service is followed by the Readings of the Watch in which the church lights are lowered and eleven candles are lit, representing the eleven faithful disciples.
Good Friday: Fri 15 April – You are invited to visit the church this Good Friday anytime between 9am and 3pm for private prayer with a led time of reflection from 4-5pm in the Lady Chapel.

Electoral Roll: Revised annually and in conjunction with the APCM this is the time to join. If you are already a member of the Electoral Roll you don’t need to do anything. If you wish to join St Mary’s Electoral Roll you must complete and return the attached Electoral Roll application and return it to office@stmarysfetcham.org.uk at your earliest convenience or drop it to the Parish Office. We strongly encourage you to join the Electoral Roll, which is, in effect, a list of church members. Please take care when visiting the church hall after dark as some of the outside lights outside are not working. A solution is in hand and the issue should be fixed in the next few weeks.
The Community Fridge will not be opening on Bank Holiday Mondays and therefore will be closed on 18 April and 2 May. We are hoping to trial the idea of a small Coffee Shop running alongside the Community Fridge sometime in May. Archbishop of Canterbury’s Football Team: Fri 27 May. Thank you to those who have offered, 8 beds so far. The Team is looking forward to playing a friendly match against The Times Staff on Sat 28 May at the Dorking Wanders stadium. There will be 18 visiting team members to the area, the vast majority of which are ordained, who will be looking for somewhere to stay. Could you host 1 or 2 people for the evening of Fri 27 May? The Roots of Jazz: Thurs 21 Apr, 7.30pm – Tickets are still available for this show taking place at The Leatherhead Theatre. Diocesan Evangelism Conference with J John: Sat 11 June, 9.30-3.30pm at St Paul’s Howell Hill. This is for Clergy, staff teams, PCCs and congregations. Speakers include J John on how to share your faith, Bishop Andrew, the Revd Dr Stephen Hance, Church of England National Lead on Evangelism, on creating missional disciples and speakers on how to build your ministry to children, families and young people. £10 including lunch. Foodbank : This week 14 April we have several urgently needed items. Please either drop them straight into the crate in Tesco Leatherhead after your shop, or into our green box outside the hall: They have completely run out of: Mayonnaise, Hair conditioner and Shaving foam. They also need: Powdered milk, Long-life sponge puddings, Custard, Rice pudding, Instant mash, Long-life fruit juice, Long-life UHT milk (semi-skimmed and full fat only), Packet soup, Shampoo, Adult toothbrushes, Nappies – size 6+.
Please no more of these items as they are fully stocked: Pulses, pasta, noodles, sweetcorn, rice, beans, porridge, and hot chocolate.
UKRAINE UPDATE
Paul Barker and the Fetcham/Bookham/Cobham Freebay continue to accept donation at 17a Cannon Grove. The boxes are emptied regularly and they are co-ordinating with White Eagle Club / Klub Orła Białego who ultimately facilitate the items and make sure they make it to those who need it most. They also have a GoFundMe appeal. They pledge to continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes.
