Vacancy Process: The Ven Martin Breadmore visited us on Wed 15 June, whereby he gave a clear picture of the process of going into vacancy when Pouya leaves and the subsequent procedures to find our new Incumbent. He has shared a newsletter that contains all the essential information that he shared with those who attended and there will be printed copies at the back of church should you wish to pick one up. If you have any questions about the vacancy, please do not hesitate to contact our Wardens, Corinne Braid or Richard Furze.

St Mary’s Family Fun Day – Sat 22 July, 12-4pm at Manor House School: A great chance to get together for an afternoon in the school’s beautiful grounds. Please bring your own picnic food, chairs, rugs and stay for as much of the day as you can. There’s a lovely garden at the front of the house for picnics and a bouncy castle, a variety of playgrounds for younger children to play in and lots of areas for garden games and summer sports. We will also have access to the main hall should the weather be inclement. If you can bring a cake to share, please get in touch with Corinne who would also love to hear from you if you can offer to help on the day. NB: Please leave dogs at home!
Homemade Stall: Last month we were very honoured to meet Rev Capt Dr Nelson Mwangi, the General Secretary of Church Army Africa, when he briefly visited St Mary’s as part of his first trip to the UK, to thank some of the main supporters of Centre for Urban Mission. It was good to hear how vital our funding is, particularly for the Apprenticeship Scheme – we are the main donors to this project. Do come on the first Sunday each month to raise more funds for CUM’s youngsters. We will have our usual range of baking, crafts and cards, second-hand books and plants. If you can donate anything homemade or home-grown, we would be so grateful. The second-hand books remain out in the hall all week so you can come and browse whenever you are in the hall.

‘Ride & Stride’ book the date – Sat 9 Sept: Contact Sarah Mackay if you’d like to enjoy walking or cycling around some of the beautiful churches in this area.
Home Groups Planning – Wed 21June, 7:30-9:00pm: Join us in the Church Hall to plan ahead together. Come if you lead a group, host a group, are curious about groups, or want to join a group. Huge thanks to everyone who helped with the St Mary’s second hand book stall at the Fetcham Festival last weekend. We took just over £100 and it was great to have a presence at this community event’.
